Move. Heal. Love Yourself.
MentalThrive provides holistic, strengths-based coaching services focused on personal growth, emotional wellness, somatic awareness, communication skills, and life balance.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi! I'm truly humbled that you're here.
I'm Grecia Johnson! a Life Coach, Movement Therapy Practitioner, certified ballroom instructor, and the founder of Mental Thrive.
I help individuals and couples reconnect with their bodies, strengthen their felt sense, and move toward aligned, grounded wellness. My work blends holistic coaching, somatic regulation, and movement‑centered healing, creating a space where people can reclaim their confidence, rediscover their rhythm, and navigate life with clarity and intention.
My background in the mental‑health field deeply shapes how I support clients today. Years of walking alongside individuals and families across the Mid‑South taught me how stress, trauma, and life transitions show up in the body and how healing becomes possible when people feel seen, safe, and supported. I carry that same depth of understanding into movement‑based wellness, using somatic tools, embodied awareness, and dance‑based practices to help clients regulate their nervous system and transform the patterns that once held them back.
Whether through coaching, somatic movement, or dance‑based wellness, my approach is rooted in resilience, cultural connection, and the belief that you define who you are not your circumstances, expectations, or fears. Through intentional movement and honest conversation, I help you build a relationship with your body that feels grounded, empowered, and deeply your own.

What should I wear to a movement-based workshop?
We recommend comfortable, movement-friendly attire such as yoga wear, casual dance clothing, or soft-soled shoes. You should feel free to move, stretch, and express yourself.
What is the difference between talk therapy and a life coach?
Talk therapy, provided by licensed therapists, focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions through exploring emotions, thoughts, and past experiences. It often addresses deeper psychological issues and trauma.
A mental health coach, on the other hand, helps clients set and achieve personal goals, develop coping strategies, and improve daily functioning. Coaching is more action-oriented and future-focused, supporting motivation and practical change rather than clinical treatment.
Both roles complement each other and serve different needs depending on where a person is in their mental health journey.
What makes MentalThrive different?
At MentalThrive, wellness is not just about talking through challenges. It’s about learning how to reconnect with your body, shift your habits, build emotional awareness, and create meaningful change that lasts. Through warm, culturally responsive support and practical tools, clients learn how to navigate life with more ease, intention, and self-trust.
Whether you’re seeking personal growth, deeper connection, or a fresh start, MentalThrive offers a safe, encouraging space to explore who you are and who you’re becoming.
